Job Description Summary: DataStax, the leading provider of database software for cloud applications, is seeking a talented Enterprise Sales Manager to join our DataStax team.Job Description: As an Enterprise Sales Manager, you will increase the market share for our DataStax Enterprise Solution. You would also provide account leadership and direction in both the pre- and post-sales processes in a dynamic, high-energy environment. This is an outside sales position with a sales quota, based in New York.Essential Job Functions:Collaborate with Sales Engineers to prepare account strategies and plansInitiate new contacts constantly through networking and cold-calling to increase client baseHandle new, and add-on businessesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of DataStax' competitive positioning in the marketplace, and prepare activity and forecast reports as requestedConstruct and execute a thorough business planMeet or exceed revenue quotaProvide account insight and direction in both pre- and post-sales processesJob Requirements:5 - 10 years sales experience; with a minimum of 5 yrs outside sales experience required5 years of enterprise software, selling to VP level, Operations and Development, must have a verifiable track record of exceeding quota 3 of the last 5 years.Excellent communication and presentation skills among a variety of audiencesStrong negotiation and closing skillsExceptional leadership skillsExperience selling to Fortune 100 to 1000 companiesExperience translating technical sales into business valueAble to travel at least 50% of the time
