A Collections Analyst is required to maintain day to day oversight of the portfolio’s cash collections and actively pursue recovery on problem accounts. Provides administrative support to General Counsel to assist in legal correspondence to merchants. A Collections Analyst acquires knowledge of deals in all facets including, but not limited to, the merchant’s outstanding balance, fees since inception of the deal and likelihood of collection. Directly reports to Marcia Herrera. Responsibilities:· Contacting merchants that are bouncing payments, monitored accounts or in collections· Building a key rapport with merchants in order to collect outstanding balances in a professional and effective manner· Diligently records communication in the merchant’s file for future reference and collection committee decisions in company’s CRM system· Coordinate with Underwriting to ultimately make decisions on adjustment requests· Provide General Counsel with administrative support· Maintain knowledge of our legal contracts with merchants Required Qualifications and Skills:· Bachelor’s degree· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills· Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills· Technological skills to maintain database efficiently· Be able to follow processes and manage daily workflow· Organized and able to multitask· Experience in legal field would help but not required
