Minimum Skills:
v 4+ years supervisory experience in a hospital based Medical Staff Services/Credentialing
v Knowledge of credentialing software (Morrissey preferred)
Education Requirement:
v Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration or related field - CPSC preferred

The successful Credentialing Manager candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of the Office of Credentialing Services and oversee all aspects of the initial credentialing/appointment process, reappointment process and privileging.
Responsibilities:
v Provide direct supervision to staff and manage all day-to-day aspects of credentialing services
v Oversee the compliance of credentialing standards as set forth by the Medical Center"s Bylaws, JCAHO and NYS-DOH guidelines
v Review, oversee and coordinate the preparation and process of new Physician applications
v Supervise the maintenance of physician credential files and staff
v Assist with the training of new employees
v Identify system issues; participate in system development
v Assist in the assurance of the integrity of the system for maintaining medical and dental staff records
v Supervise the production and distribution of all departmental reports
v Act as departmental timekeeper and process payroll
v Perform functions of Credentials Analyst for assigned files
