Litigation Paralegal
Compensation: Base to $55,000 plus bonus and significant overtime
Location: Midtown NYC
Organization: International Law Firm
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide complex case management to support attorneys handling cases in various stages of litigation on a day to day basis
•Perform extensive legal research; proficiency with cite checking
•Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery in preparation for and participation in trial
•Organize documents and coordinate document productions including but not limited to bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents
•Provide ongoing communication between an international network of counsel and clients to assist and expedite case settlements for the maximization of collections
•Assembly of materials and files necessary for conferences, depositions or court
Required Skills:
•2+ years large law firm experience
•Demonstrated experience handling cases from beginning to end with minimal supervision
•Proficiency with e-filing, Summation, Concordance, Documatirx, Live Note, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Office, PC Law, and Worldox
•Available to work overtime
•B.A. or B.S. degree PLUS a Paralegal certificate
