The Financial Analyst conducts detailed financial analyses to determine impact of business initiatives and other factors on the bottom line. Designs, develops, and implements systems and/or procedures to improve efficiency of existing workflows. The individual reports to the CFO and works closely with c-level executives and business managers on all aspects of forecasting and financials.Responsibilities• Sort and analyze data provided by clients or business departments to enable management to meaningfully evaluate business processes for maximum efficiency and financial return• Participate in root cause analysis in order to identify opportunities and recommend product enhancements and/or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for business units• Regularly develop and implement reports for use by senior management and department managers to assist in identifying trends and making management and business decisions• Retrieve and analyze data from various operating and financial systems (PracticeMaster, ProLaw, Artiva and QuickBooks)• Prepare income projections by department for Firm-wide budgeting• Conduct and prepare trend comparative analyses by client, service, etc., as needed• Participates in business process efforts to collect and analyze metrics and improve Firm-wide processes• Spearhead special projects, as required• Identify and research best practices to suggest improvements in operational processes .
