Our client in West Nyack, NY is seeking a Network Analyst to join its team.Position Responsibilities: -Researches, diagnoses, and suggests possible root causes of LAN/WAN problems. -Performs ‘Gatekeeper’ procedures in LAN rooms as required in assigned service areas. -Works with IR Network Services on network projects within assigned service area. -Maintains familiarity with application development (i.e., .Net) and network monitoring tools/utilities. -Responsible for the installation and client profile/setup of PCs, printers and other associated equipment for all new and replacement PCs, laptops, and mobile data terminals (MDT/field devices) being deployed. -With some general guidance, provides on-site troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution, and general support for the corporate computing infrastructure installed at all company locations. -Develops or modifies procedures to resolve problems using information technology. -Supports client requests and inquiries regarding collaboration and workflow tools. -Acts as liaison between our clients and all groups in Information Technology to help ensure continuity of support and timely responses to issues that may arise. -Must be willing to assume a leadership role for overseeing regional projects and to ensure that quality of work assigned is achieved and timelines are met. -Willing to be flexible and take on technically challenging and complex assignments when requested to do so. -Completes software compliance audits for all PCs/laptops to ensure proper licensing of products is in place. -Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all corporate standard computer software required by the Corporation (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint collaboration tools, SMS software deployment tools, Computer Cost Central). -Good understanding of, in order to support specific corporate deployed applications preferred, i.e., CIMS Customer Service System, OMS, Mobile Dispatch and NRG Mapping system. -Ensures that security, anti-virus and backup programs are effectively installed and operational on all PCs and laptops.-Performs administrative duties such as MAGIC and SMS reporting and completes tasks performed on a daily/monthly timetable. -Provides off-hours on call support on a rotating basis. -Escalates problems to experts within an appropriate time frame. -Assists users with stand-alone PC problems. -Records calls received and resolved in the Help Center Tracking System. -Supports operating organizations during corporate emergencies. -Assists with teleconferencing presentations for setup and deployment, when requested. -Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. -Is dedicated to enhancing the Customer Experience, both within the Company and externally and demonstrates a commitment to the ideal of developing a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all our stakeholders. Required Experience:-Must have familiarity with newest technologies regarding collaboration and workflow tools, i.e. SharePoint.-Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, good telephone and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management.-Must have excellent skills in troubleshooting, problem resolution and root cause analysis.-Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.-Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while still meeting deadlines. Required Education:-Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology with a minimum of 2 years related experience in applications development, infrastructure, LAN/WAN network support, LAN administration and/or computer operations expertise. OR-Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience in applications development, infrastructure, LAN/WAN network support, LAN administration and/or computer operations expertise. OR-High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years related experience in applications development, infrastructure, LAN/WAN network support, LAN administration and/or computer operations expertise.
