We are actively looking for a Multimedia Operations Manager for our client, a higher education institution. The ideal candidate has a strong Audio Visual and IT background as well as experience directly interfacing the high level executives and end users. Technical responsibilities are to maintain, support, update, configure, test and operate “hybrid” audio video systems as well as research, suggest, and deliver new technology focusing on the advancement and work simplicity. Candidates will be working in a master control, video conference, production, and streaming environment. Management responsibilities include team/role, management, event management, project management and reporting, and maintenance/fault management.Technical Duties:• Video/Audio Conference Bridge Operations• Codian MCU 8000, Tandberg Management Suite (TMS), Avaya BridgeTalk, CMS FrontEnd.• Auditorium Control Room Operations• Manage the setup, operation and troubleshooting of live webcasts and video streaming programs• Encode, author, and publish webcast projects• Engage in some basic video production duties such as video shoot and video editing• Conduct capture, ingest and compression of audio and video materials• Interface and work closely with clients and staff to meet and satisfy their requirements• Troubleshoot technical issues throughout webcast• Verify and test network infrastructure and perform testing of published content to ensure accurate delivery• Import and manipulate Power Point slide• Publish and upload Final webcast and approved mediaManagement Duties:Team/Role Management • Manage and motivate staff to work effectively and deliver high service levels on daily operations. Work with Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to deal effectively with any staff disciplinary matters.• Work with Client Operations Managers and SDM on staff additions and changes• Responsible for time sheet approvals, and management of backfill and surge support requests to cover vacations, sick leave, and additional labor needs for high volume days.• Develop, document and drive department processes and work with peers on delivering consistent Global procedures.• Promote all services of the AV/Multimedia department and provide training and awareness to the onsite team and Client staff.• Gather feedback and work with SDM to continually improve the service delivery in the region.• Oversee the event technicians and when necessary lead high profile events and meetings encompassing local small events to large Global VIP productionsProject Management & Reporting• In conjunction with Technical Operations Assist Client AV projects manager with any AV related projects or installations• Manage move and change projects as needed• Work with SDM to produce monthly metrics and provide financial reports and forecasting for the global service delivery deployment.Maintenance and Fault Management • Ensure AV hardware is functional and healthy and work to report and resolve maintenance issues• Ensure the swift resolution to any codec of infrastructure issues through technical ability and industry knowledge and contacts• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency support (subject to Ad Hoc/Out of Hours Fees.)Qualifications:• All around Audio Visual and Multimedia Operations skills in a corporate setting including the efficient set up of equipment for live shows and conferences, MCR, and videoconferencing• Extensive experience with Cisco AV technologies and all other AV technologies deployed by Client extensive experience with Cisco and Codian Infrastructure (Codian MCU, Codian ISDN GW, Cisco VCS-c,-e, Cisco TMS)• Extensive experience in Leadership roles in high performance teams• Extensive experience in organizing and deploying technical teams given multiple priorities• Extensive Metrics, data gathering and analysis• Effectively lead by example• Experience working under multiple management teams to deliver projects and goals• Industry standard certification (Cisco, InfoComm, Crestron, Extron, Polycom)
