Role: Audio Visual Integration EngineerStart: ASAPDuration: Full TimeCompensation: Competitive (40 hour week + OT)Position OverviewThe Audio Visual Integration Engineer will lead the installation and integration of commercial Audio Visual Systems for Corporate, Education, and Government clients desiring presentation systems, videoconferencing, digital signage displays, automation and control, and other top quality audio visual systems. The right candidate is proactive and diligent, willing to research and test new technology solutions and approaches to problem solving. Experience with legacy and new technology is highly valued. CTS certified candidates will be given priority.ResponsibilitiesProvide Audio, Video and Control System engineering as part of the sales, design, installation and delivery of custom AV solutions.Provide project management services ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, per specifications with a high quality level of system performance.Work closely with the technicians for the implementation of cabling, fabrication and installation.Support systems design and sales process by reviewing equipment specifications, identifying alternate equipment, creating and reviewing system diagrams, rack elevations and modifications, assisting in the review of RFP responses, site visits, purchasing, research and documentation support.Provide maintenance, and operations support when including onsite and/or phone support when neededPerform ad hoc tasks when requested based on relevant skills and abilities.Desired SkillsStrong experience with Audio Visual equipment and control systems, including AMX, Extron and Crestron as well as LAN/WAN hardware and software for switches, hubs, routers, etc.Read, create, and edit technical specifications and system drawings.Oversee all aspects of Audio Visual Integration projects including design, purchasing, installation, testing, and client training.Act as the liaison to all stakeholders including clients and co-workers.The ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.Strong troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.Experience with audio DSP device programming.Experience in programming Audio Visual equipment (e.g. AMX, Crestron, Extron is not required, but is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and AutoCAD and/or VisioProficient in the use of basic hand and power toolsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs., climb and work on ladders.Valid driver’s license
