Enterprise Data Warehouse Team Lead, ~ $140k
Management Information Manager
Hiring Manager’s Title: To Be Determined
Major Job Responsibilities/Results:
Manage the design and development of data warehouse/data marts suitable to meet the data requirements of business departments within Navigators (underwriting, actuarial, finance, claims etc) keeping scalability and performance in mind.
Manage the delivery of data sources mapping, data movement and reconciliation with the goals of ensuring data quality, consistency, and regulatory requirements.
Identify data inconsistency / quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document and implement corrections/work-arounds.
Comprehensive documentation of all data warehouse environments, processes, and change management strategy.
In conjunction with the Operations Team, creation of materials to support the business’ understanding and usage of the available data and the facilitation of data sessions to aid the business users in understanding same.
Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation the data warehouse and reporting software.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Navigators data sources and current reporting / MI capabilities.
Collaboration with Business Analysis and business stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of strategic data requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills; knowledge of best practices to guide his/her team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical software systems.
Track record of effectively managing, motivating and developing technical staff.
Research and make recommendations on BI products and services in order to improve productivity.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Behavioral Characteristics: Priority
10 years of detailed experience in data warehouse/reporting development.
At least 5 years of team leadership / project management experience
At least 5 years of technology experience in the insurance industry
Experience of implementation of data warehouse/mart solutions using ETL tools
Experience of implementation of controls and reconciliation reports
Experience of reporting toolsets and OLAP cubes
SQL Server database (versions 2000, 2005, 2008)
