The Infrastructure Technology Architecture group defines and enforces technology principles, standards, and patterns for this client They define architecture framework and use components or building blocks to design infrastructure services that support business unit hardware, software, and network needs.
Architecture is responsible for the structure of components, their interrelationships, and the principles and guidelines governing their design and evolution over time (The Open Group Architectural Framework).
1.Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to understand Service Strategy and Business Unit goals and priorities
2.Design and introduce new hardware, software, and network infrastructure services in line with Service Strategy and Business Unit strategies
3.Assist with management of the research lab
4.Create, drive and enforce technology standards within the enterprise
5.Understand the business and customer needs to introduce innovative technical solutions that grow the bottom line and/or speed time to market
6.Advocate for technology and process improvements that will deliver flexible platforms and processes that support agile product development and facilitate the rapid transformation of customer insight into customer value
7.Generate intellectual property, protect and communicate as appropriate
8.Network with industry thought leaders and be recognized for your contributions
9.Create architecture project deliverable solution based on the Architecture Definition Document adhering to our client's architecture principles
◦Service Oriented Infrastructure (SOI) hardware & software deployment architecture
◦Cloud computing, create architectural offerings considering cloud implications on IT infrastructure
◦Governance, Knowledge of methods and best practices including TOGAF, ITIL service design
◦Create solution, package, platform and infrastructure selection, estimates and staffing on this project
10.Responsible for making technical decisions, facilitating progress, managing issues through to closure, and taking corrective actions when they are necessary. Strong communication and planning skills are necessary.
11.Play the role of Enterprise, Domain and Solution Architect as needed
1.Infrastructure Architect with Masters degree in related field and equivalent experience in related field. (10-15 years work experience, 5 years experience as an architect preferred. Infrastructure Engineer with relevant experience will also be considered)
1.Experience with an established corporate R&D program
2.Experience with end to end infrastructure architecture and technologies (e.g.
◦Hardware engineering, and network standards, creation of infrastructure stack templates
◦Virtualization and Cloud Computing
◦Application Servers, MQ, ESB and middleware integration
◦Hardware sizing, Method to create deployment architecture, consideration of operational procedures
◦Scalability, performance, reliability, availability design of compute, storage, network
◦Security implications and solutions
◦Load balancer (F5), directory services
3.Experience with UNIX, LINUX, and Windows server operating systems and virtualization.
4.Advanced knowledge and experience with Enterprise Service Bus and Cloud technology.
5.Thought leadership and Multiple projects designing solutions within digital media publishing industry,
6.Search technologies, data content systems, Marklogic, fast, Database and data warehouse systems
7.Exposure to Data Center Optimization, Data Center Management Processes, Virtualization, Private and Public Cloud
8.Excellent presentation, business communication, conceptualization, analytical and logic skills
9.Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both orally and in writing. Ability to articulate and translate technical language to non-technical customers. Influences at all levels across the company within span of control.
10.Ability to interact at all levels; advise on strategy, consult with architecture assessments, or roll up sleeves when required to lead SWAT teams
