Our client is a major luxury retailer in NYC. They are looking for an infrastructure project manager with experience managing a complex windows environment.
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline (MCSE/CCNP/CCIE)
5 to 10 years post graduation experience in:
Managing complex technical projects with the following technologies
Windows and Unix based Server
LAN/WAN/MAN Networking based on CISCO technology (mainly Routers/Firewall/Switches)
Managing IT and Telephony infrastructure in retail store openings and renovations projects including designing, planning and monitoring the entire realization.
Strong skills and past proven experience in project management
3+ years of experience in managing international/multinational environments and projects
Must be innovation oriented
Results oriented with proven track of successful and achieved objectives
Able to lead and inspire others
Strongly experienced in planning and risk management
Strong attitude to work within multiethnic and virtual teams with a team building approach
Strong skills in communication with business representatives, executives, and vendors
Proven ability to negotiate with vendors
Flexibility and adaptability to quick changes
Availability to frequently travel throughout North and South America
A past experience with a Luxury/Fashion company or a Retailer is mandatory
The candidate may come from a technical consulting company but must demonstrate participation to and management of major projects at large clients
On the field experience in IT and telephony matters related to store openings design, plan, execution is mandatory
Project Management certification is mandatory unless there is a long proven PM experience
The following technical Certifications are welcome (one CISCO certification would determine a preference)
MCSE – Microsoft Certified System Engineer
CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
CCDP – Cisco Certified Design Professional
CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate
CCDA – Cisco Certified Design Associate
CCIE – Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
GSEC – Security Essentials Certification - from GIAC
CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional - from ISC2
CISM – Certified Information Security Manager - from ISACA
Will be the IT primary point of contact for all the store opening/renovations/relocations of all the brands of the group.
Will be responsible for placing the orders for the WAN connection, telephony and cabling.
As Project Manager will be responsible of some complex projects of the Technical Services Area (i.e. Servers Virtualisation, Digital Projects, Store Deployments, etc.) including the project budget
Builds strong relationship with Telecommunication providers and familiar with the complexities of Global Managed WAN Services.
Collaborates with the Operations Manager of each brand of the group and will work in tight coordination with the Store Planning Department
Ensures that all projects are proceeding according to timelines, budget, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters.
Identifies, secures, coordinates and negotiates implementation of internal and external resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve projects’ changes and objectives
Initiates and implements new methodologies for Retail Store projects, process and procedures that will support the Company’s retail led growth.
Will manage a consultant who supports store openings
Reports to the Project Management Office Director (the role is currently played ad interim by the CIO)
