AGILE ARCHITECT CORE DOCUMENTATION DRUPAL INTRANET LINUX MYSQL PHP UNIX

Essential Responsibilities
* Be an integral part of the team (take an active role in defining
the team culture and policies)
* Architect, implement, and launch both web services and intranet
functionality using Drupal (backend development)
* Develop pluggable interface components that cater to content
creators, a large and active editorial team, and other business users
* Develop performance oriented and reliable web services that build
upon a Drupal web service layer (Services based)
* Conceive and implement solutions that are extensible and TIGHTLY
integrated with Drupal core and contrib modules
* Create Drupal modules that integrate with our foundation modules;
CCK, Views, Panels, Services, and Features
* Support operations by troubleshooting Drupal issues on the site
* Occasional site administration and reporting duties
* Help create and edit community documentation
* Effectively communicate and coordinate with project managers,
project stakeholders, designers, other developers, etc... (take
ownership of projects)
* Help train users of the features developed and other developers

Technical Qualifications
* Experience programming in PHP (3+ years)
* Experience in database design, reporting, and general
administration, especially MySQL
* Demonstrated experience in Drupal development (3+ years) (prefer a
Drupal contributor)
* Experience using and developing with CCK, Views, Panels, Services,
Features
* Must prefer to shop for contributed modules before rolling your
own, and know how to effectively analyze them.
* Comfort with UNIX/Linux environments
* Previous experience with memcache, Varnish, and similar open
source caching and web acceleration mechanisms
* Experience developing and scaling large web sites

Eligibility Requirements
* Must be willing to work in New York, NY
* Must be 18 years or greater
* Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United
States
* Must be available to work evenings and weekends (when necessary)
