The National Organization on Disability has retained the search firm of PNP Staffing Group to recruit for the Manager of Foundation and Corporate Relations.The Manager, Foundation & Corporate Relations will be a key member of NOD's External Affairs team and will hold two important responsibilities:-Develop, recommend and execute a plan to identify, cultivate and acquire new funding prospects among large private philanthropic foundations and corporate foundations, and manage the process of stewarding existing funding relationships to maximize their potential.-Drive the growth of NOD's corporate membership council through targeted outreach and stewardship.This individual will be a vital member of the NOD team, responsible for establishing NOD as the leading resource for disability employment expertise, program innovation, and consulting services. The position reports to the Chief External Affairs Officer.The successful individual will bring 7-10 years of experience to shape and execute strategies to identify, attract, acquire, engage and retain both philanthropic foundations as funders of NOD programs and corporate buyers of NOD services among Fortune 500 senior and middle management.Key elements of success in this role will be:-Researching and identifying sources of high potential new prospects in NOD's target philanthropic and corporate markets-Recommending and managing outreach to build awareness and preference for NOD and support colleagues' cultivation and acquisition of new philanthropic funders, new corporate members of NOD'sCEO Council, and new corporate buyers of NOD services.-Success in building and sustaining relationships with philanthropic funders.-Developing and operating methodical systems of stewardship that maintain funders' and corporate members' engagement in NOD activities, commitment to NOD's mission and their own progress in advancing disability employment and inclusion.Responsibilities:Under direction of the Chief External Affairs Officer and President, create, recommend and execute an annual development plan to identify, cultivate and acquire new funding opportunities to meet NOD's contributed revenue goals-Conduct background research to guide strategies for approaching potential funders-Provide strategic guidance to the President, Managing Director of Professional Services, and Chief External Affairs Officer and create opportunities for them to connect with high potential funding prospects-Coordinate across departments to vet ideas for new potential initiatives and partnershipsMaintain and enhance relationships with NOD funders, including:-Track funder reporting requirements and assuring the delivery of quality and timely reports and renewal proposals-Maintain personal contact with key counterparts-Maintain schedules and other supports to assure that the CEO and other appropriate NOD staff keep in touch with their counterparts at partner organizations and other alliances at planned intervals throughout the year-Identify and pursue opportunities for deeper engagement with each partner organizationLead interdepartmental teams to create and assemble fundraising proposals; write and edit funder correspondence and acknowledge incoming contributions.Manage the systems to support effective fundraising, including:-Working with NOD's CRM Specialist, assure that NOD's fundraising database (eTapestry) is up to date with accurate and complete information on NOD funders. Provide reports as needed.-Prepare materials for fundraising meetings-Produce appropriate and timely acknowledgements for contributions receivedDrive the growth of NOD's CEO Council and oversee programming aimed at Council members-Identify and prioritize targets and, in collaboration with NOD colleagues, recommend cultivation strategies for each.-Take primary responsibility for managing a portfolio of Council member relationships, and supporting NOD colleagues who are the primary managers of other relationships-Develop an understanding of each Council member's needs and goals related to disability hiring, and ensure that they see NOD as their primary partner in meeting those needs-Spearhead the delivery of a suite of innovative content and exclusive networking opportunities for NOD corporate members, including 3-5 on-site eventsand a series of webinars each year.-Recommend refinements and additions to member benefits.Support the development and vibrancy of relationships with NOD's strategic allies, notably other disability-related organizationsRepresent NOD, as needed, at conferences, meetings, and/or site visitsQualifications:-7-10 years of prior experience in foundation giving and managing philanthropic and corporate relationships-Proven ability to develop and deliver a marketing program in support of a development agenda-Experience within a consulting firm environment and / or a major nonprofit is strongly preferred.-Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in marketing or related field preferred.-Demonstrated relationship management experience, with a professional client service manner, responsiveness, flexibility, and adaptability.-Superior writing skills and oral communications skills, with demonstrated ability to help create marketing collateral including meeting decks, meeting leave-behinds, funding proposals, funder reports, email-based communications, and corporate proposal support materials-Knowledge of Fortune 500 companies and experience in marketing to corporate buyers in them, especially in the C-suite.-Familiarity with Human Resource programs and/or diversity and inclusion programs-Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results.-Familiarity with sales management processes. Experience infundraising stewardship processes a plus.-Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations.-Demonstration of strong teamwork-Experience developing social media strategies and using social media analytics in order to measure the impact and to adjust strategies and tactics based on findings-Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Familiarity with digital marketing technologies.
