Position Requirements : Job Description The Database Analyst is responsible for assisting NAPA in achieving its objectives by aggregating, managing, and transforming data to make it available to the analytics team. Additionally, the database analyst will help in new development projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Understand the structure of the data provided by our business systems and from our business partners • Design the data structures to support analytics use of our data • Populate the metadata model to abstract the data structures • Build the transformation process to populate the analytics data structures • Analyze and resolve issues identified by our analytics team • Align and consolidate data from current systems to assist in new systems development • Provide operational support Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required • Ability to work either individually or within a team environment • Strong desire to learn • Outstanding organizational and communication skills • Ability to analyze data and data structures • Experience with T-SQL and MySQL Procedural Language • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL • Familiarity with Star Schema or Snowflake Schema design Education & Business Experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Experience in development of databases to support analytics • Two years of related work experience • SQL programming skills • Complex data management skills • XML and HL7 skills a plus • Experience with Crystal Reports a plus
