About the Opportunity A leading nonprofit organization is looking for a team-oriented Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to work 4 days per week at their early childhood center in Brooklyn. This is a preschool opportunity lasting throughout the entire school year starting in September and the 4 days you choose to work are flexible. In this role, the Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) will be working alongside other therapists and treating children with Autism and developmental delays. There is a treatment space, plenty of equipment and availability for note taking on site. We are looking for someone who is passionate and excited about working with children. Apply today!Company Description Nonprofit OrganizationJob Description The Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) will: Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend services for students experiencing delays in in fine motor, sensory motor and/or adaptive functioning Instruct children in activities of daily living while maintaining a caseload Promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities Provide support to families, and collaborate with other disciplines, as needed in order to address goals indicated in each student's IEP Complete paperwork within appropriate time frames and ensure best therapeutic practices Required Skills 6+ months of Occupational Therapy experience NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills Previous experience working with the Pediatric population
