Description:
We are hiring for open Tutor and Counselor positions. Please refer to appropriate job description for each position.

Specific duties and responsibilities as a Tutor are to:

- Provide academic assistance to assigned tutees, either in a group or individually.

- Be responsible for maintaining records on each student who is being tutored, including follow-up and periodic assessment.

- Provide evaluations and other reports as requested by the 21st Century/ACDP Site program Coordinator.

- Help students develop positive attitudes toward learning and studying.

- Assist in designing and implementing class cooperative projects

- Volunteer for one day a year in an ACDP sponsored activity.

- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Specific duties and responsibilities as a Counselor are to:

- Provide comprehensive group and one-on-one counseling sessions.

- Collect academic evaluation, daily attendance, and grades.

- Input and update United Way ETO Database

- Monitor the school day and/or after-school tutoring sessions (as dictated by work plan ).

- Develop, plan, coordinate and implement activities including, but not limited to, seminars, parent & student workshops, short courses, clubs, shows, public events and other related programs; develop and coordinate new ideas and concepts for program themes, materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing program components and curriculum.

- Maintain liaison with other programs, offices and departments to coordinate program business and to accomplish program objectives; interface with external organizations as appropriate to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.

- Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

- Volunteer for one day a year in an ACDP sponsored activity.

- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications (Tutor): Minimum of High School Diploma and college enrollment and 1 year exp working with youths.

Qualifications (Counselor): B.A. in human services/related field and 2 years of relevant exp in youth services.

Both positions are Mon through Fri, 3-6pm.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
