Bull Terrier - Rio - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog
Rio was found tied to the Shelter gate on 3/31/12; she is now about 2-3 years old. She was very stressed finding herself in a loud scary place like the Shelter, and was fearful of all, but so wanted to trust someone. She would try to sit very close to you to let you know she was trying, and now is slowly coming out of her shell. Rio is hoping to find the forever home she so deserves. She will require time and patience and a lot of socialization to help her get over her fears, but trust us when we say she is worth every effort.
We've had Rio DNA tested and her results have come back: Miniature Bull Terrier, Welsh Corgi, and a mix of Collie, King Charles Spaniel, & Doberman! Rio weighs 58 pounds and is 16 inches in shoulder height.
The Shelter is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 4 pm, and late on Wednesday evenings (for OPIN's free dog training at 6:30 pm -- no appointment necessary!).
