King is aptly named as he is very powerful and always wants to take a leadership role. He is about a year-and-a-half old and weighs 66lbs but he is impressively strong on the leash and when jumping. He enjoys being in the company of and working with people and can be playful and fun; he enjoys toys and jogging with a companion. When he is focused King can follow obedience commands and he is food motivated which can be a help in training. It is important to King that he respects his handler and to know that they respect him. Ideally King needs an owner who has experience with physically strong, alpha dogs and who are themselves active and will include King in their daily activities and exercise. King will need daily exercise outside of the home, as do the majority of dogs, but a fenced yard will allow additional fun and games while keeping King safe. It is suggested King not be placed with small children as his high energy and physical strength may cause them to be knocked down and hurt.
