Meet Waggs: A Special Little Boy
Hi! My name is Waggs but my foster mom calls me The Wagster. I am a purebred wheaten Cairn Terrier and I am 5 years old. I was adopted from a shelter when I was a year old but the people just could not take care of me any more, so I was taken back to the nice people at the same shelter and that is where CRUSA got me from. I Just Needed The Right Medicine
I was having seizures and the Vet told my foster mom that I have epilepsy, but the GOOD NEWS is that my epilepsy is now under control thanks to some little white treats that my foster mom gives me with my food, which I LOVE. I also had some skin problems when I got here but my foster mom put me on a good quality dog food and my skin cleared up and my hair came back. I Am HouseTrained!
I am HouseTrained but I really need to go out first thing in the morning when I wake up and right after I eat. Just follow these two simple rules and we will both be happy campers. I Like Other Dogs
I love all the cairns and the westie that live in my foster home. We get along just fine. Foster Mom Here
Waggs is a precious little thing. He is good natured, likes to talk and has a great personality. He is not aggressive towards anything and gets along well with all of his foster siblings. He does have epilepsy and is doing very well on Phenobarbital. This will be a lifelong commitment and he will always need to take the Phenobarbital. It makes him sleep quite a bit but he also has a lot of energy. He will sit on the couch, and like a little kid, will try so hard to stay awake. Then he finally just has to give it up and take a nap. He would do very well with a retired couple who wants a mellow boy. Leash, Walks, Vet and Bath TimeNo Problem For Me
Waggs has a good appetite and gained weight when he was on the steroids for his skin issues that needs to come off. He walks very well on a leash, does great at the Vet and even likes bath time. Where Is Waggs Now?
Waggs is located in a private foster home in Mt. Juliet, TN. I Am Up To Date!
Waggs is up-to-date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, has tested negative for heartworm disease, is micro-chipped and is on a monthly heartworm preventative. He also takes phenobarbital for his seizures. If you are interested in adopting Waggs, please complete our Adoption Application today. Waggs cannot wait to meet you! Please Sponsor Me!
