Meet Smoochie!
Smoochie is a 7 yo female Cairn Terrier who came to CRUSA with her 14 yo Cairn brother Shotzie after their human momma died. I Am Affectionate and Laid Back
Smoochie has a very good temperament, is affectionate and very laid back. She loves watching TV with you, licking your hands and having her belly rubbed. I Am Housetrained But Can Exhibit Submissive Urination
Smoochie is housetrained but can exhibit submissive urination when greeting you as you come home if you use a baby voice or a high pitched voice to greet her. This is a behavior where the dog leaks a little bit of urine out of excitement or to acknowledge that you are higher in the pack rank. What is Smoochie Like?
Smoochie is a doll. She loves running to you when you call her name, tail wagging at full speed. Smoochie also loves going to the yard and sitting below a tree to watch the birds and squirrels. They fascinate her. Smoochie Needs to Lose Weight.
Smoochie tends to gain weight easily and does not like to walk a lot, so it is difficult to lose what she gains. She will need to be put on a diet. She currently weights 24 lbs and should probably weigh only 17 lbs. I Get Along With Other Dogs.
Smoochie gets along with all the other Cairns in her foster home and plays with the other female Cairns only. Her foster home does not have cats, so we do not know how she would do with cats. Ideal Home
Smoochie would do best with a stay-at-home parent, perhaps a retiree or an owner who works from home or who works part time or who is otherwise home a lot to spend time with her and take her out for walks so she can continue to lose weight. I Am Up To Date!
Smoochie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, microchipped, has been tested for heartworm disease, and is on a monthly heartworm preventative. Where is Smoochie Now?
