Hey Yall! Jayma here. I’m a beautiful, young lab that found herself in a difficult situation. I was pregnant and dumped by my owner in a rural cemetery. Alone, hungry and not yet two years old, I scavenged for food and attended the funerals (according to the cemetery manager) hoping someone would help me. Finally one day I saw people gathering for a service and I headed down that dusty dirt road to seek help. I went from one person to the next, sitting politely at their feet and begging them with my eyes for assistance. One by one the people either ignored me or shooed me away until I got to the preacher. When I approached he yelled at me, “Get out of here!” I turned and started running back down the road. What I didn’t know was that my foster mommy to be was watching all this and when I started to run she took off after me in heels and hose determined to save me. She took me home and I had my babies. I was a very good mommy and took such good care of my pups. You couldn’t find a nicer girl than me. I have a very sweet personality and a gentle and humble nature. I love to be a part of things and join in on whatever is going on. I am very obedient and do all that I can to please my family. I am housetrained, crate trained, know how to walk on a leash, sit, shake hands and I ride great in the car. I love to play with toys and will chase balls and play tug. I’m a lot of fun. And being a lab, of course I love the water. My foster mommy has a kiddie pool that I splashed and lounged in all summer. I’m great with everyone, including kids and cats but I don’t like other dogs too much. As long as they are not aggressive towards me I tolerate them, but I would rather be an only dog. According to my foster mommy, I am a very easy going gal, and just a joy to have around. I am fully vetted, and microchipped. I am heartworm positive but it is so mild the veterinarian says it requires no treatment but monthly heartworm preventative. I’m really a beauty, inside and out. I weigh about 65 pounds, have the most gorgeous shiny black coat and my eyes are an amazing gold color. I sure would love to have a home and a family of my own for Christmas.
