Meet Chaser ... he'll chase away your blues while chasing down your heart. This handsome 5 year old purebred Cocker Spaniel comes to us from the Manhattan Shelter, where he was turned in as an owner surrender. Sadly, this oh-so-yummy chocolate boy had been very poorly cared for. Chaser was surrendered with the usual excuses ("no money", "no time", blah, blah, blah, we've heard it all). He was beyond filthy and matted to the skin, so overgrown that it was tough to see where his ears, legs and tail began, let alone where they ended. Post-makeover, we discovered a strikingly beautiful dog had been hiding beneath it all. What's more, his personality is chocolate-y, sugary sweet. Chaser is a big fan of belly rubs and loves the company of people (as in "kiss-kiss"). He is good with other dogs and should make an excellent family pet. Chaser has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots, and has tested negative for heartworm. Chaser will be freshly bathed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. Unlike many chocolate Cocker Spaniels, he does not appear to be at all allergy prone, in fact his ears and skin are in great shape, particularly in light of the neglect he endured.
