Description:
The State Street Migration project has a number of work streams not least of which is the Strategic Data Warehouse. This work stream is responsible for providing business power users and senior management with accurate data quickly to optimize management decisions and response time to daily requests. This will ultimately improve our speed to deliver global information and reduce manually intensive and error prone processes that exist currently.

Specific deliverables of this work stream will be:
Integrating data from various 3RD party sources and internal sources including:

Alternatives AUM & Revenue

AUM Spreadsheets from various global locations for AUM

Revenue Spreadsheets from Finance

Global Performance DW

Spreadsheets from more than 30 locations globally

Various Funds Administrators

Others TBD in detailed analysis stage

One key sub-work stream in Strategic Data Warehouse is using Analysis and Reporting tools to create fixed or simple parameterized reports and complex ad hoc queries. A key function of the business analyst will be helping users build and specify their own queries help using statistical and data mining packages that allow users to delve into the information contained within the data and using what-if tools that allow users to extract data and then modify it to role play or simulate scenarios.

The business analyst should be comfortable eliciting requirements from senior business leaders writing business requirements and functional requirements that reflect the reporting needs of the business groups and either creating technical solutions to meet those documented needs or facilitating technology developers to solve those needs.

Required Experience: Business analysis financial industry with asset management as a major plus excellent written and verbal communication skills excellent business and technical requirement knowledge and ability to operate in a fast paced and changing environment.
