Background and ObjectivesWe are a global consulting firm requiring a senior level consultant to support a global innovation company undergoing major transformation to improve the quality and value of their IT service.Currently, the operating business units are spending money independently on IT, thus leading to mass cost and service inefficiencies. The focus is on translating the IT strategy into execution, and changing the governance of the organization around their IT investment.The part-time project will span 1 year, starting as early as November 2016, but picking up in January 2017. Candidate must be U.S based and available approximately 2-3 days / week. Travel will be every other week to two main locations: North Carolina and Upstate NY, with very infrequent travel to global offices in EMEA and East Asia. Every other week work can be performed remotely.Key deliverablesGlobal function strategy, global business process design, change strategyConsultant requirementsWe are looking for someone that translates strategy into execution. The candidate should have organization design experience with transformation aimed towards a long term scale. The candidate should be able to drive change and design that governance. Preferably the candidate would have been an EM or Principal at a top tier consulting firm. We have a preference for someone that has a functional understanding of information technology services, a demonstrated track record in large scale organization design and change
