We have a an International Aerospace Company looking for a Quality Engineer in the Netherlands. Must be interested in the production and maintainence of commercial aircraft engine. To support spare parts distribution. This is a 3rd party European Logistics Center in the Netherlands. The position requires you to live there starting May, 2013 and requires a Quality Engineer to be responsible for performing various quality related functions, including compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as driving continuous improvement activity.
Areas of responsibility include but may not be limited to:
•Perform quality-related functions in a 3rd party logistics environment.
•Assist in managing key relationships and interactions with AS9100 Registrar, FAA and European Regulatory agencies.
•Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems, including oversight and performance of internal audit processes, identifying root cause and driving corrective action.
•Assist in monitoring supplier performance.
•Manage or perform Quality Engineering processes.
•Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives, including ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence).
•Lead and assist with quality initiatives to continually improve performance and reduce escapes
•Lead, direct, and train inspection personal.
Requirements:
-Current or prior experience with Federal Aviation Administration “Organizational Delegation Authorization”.
-Be able to quickly qualify to be a FAA ODA Unit member.
-Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Quality Management or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
-Experience working with aviation parts, regulatory agencies desirable.
-Must have prior aviation quality or inspection experience (3+ years desired).
-Quality Engineering experience within manufacturing.
-Continuous Improvement or Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma green belt experience preferred.
-Posses a strong understanding of effective Quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business environments.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.
-Computer skills should include experience in Word, Power Point, and Excel, as well as significant experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems.
-Current or prior experience with Federal Aviation Administration “Organizational Delegation Authorization”.
-Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration, Quality Management or related field.
