Description: Under direction, performs patient care and administrative activities for ophthalmologists: answers phone inquires; updates patient information; greets patients upon arrival; scans patient documents; updates demographics and insurance information; collects co-payments and confirms patient appointments; assists physicians with scheduling and coordinating their operating room surgeries via booking including scheduling ancillaries per physician request; assists patient needs with transportation, obtaining documents and education; performs other job related duties as required.
Must have a high school diploma; prior related experience a preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of scanning, Epicare, Eagle and IDX system a plus; excellent organization and communication skills.
