This position will be based in the New York office, but will be responsible for business development around the globeResponsibilities:Creates comprehensive strategies to identify and build alliances with strategic partners based on the corporate strategies.Works with business leaders to identify new initiativesLeverages analysis to formulate competitive plans for specific product lines and channels for various regions. Communicates strategic opportunities, trends, implications and project updates to Strategy, Product, Finance and Marketing senior leadership.Drives existing and new strategic partnership discussions and initiatives that includes leading cross-functional teams to advance projects.Ensures projects are well organized and executed, including pulling in the appropriate internal resources at the different points along the engagement cycle.Takes full ownership of initiative through regular communication with the partner, product team and process owner.Drives efforts around complex analysis and ad-hoc research in reviewing potential partners’ customer propositions, performing market research, competitive analysis and test transactions, and determining operational and technical requirements of set-ups.Defines the scope, size and prioritization of the partner opportunity with the necessary stakeholders and gain commitment from send and receive corridors regarding the transactions, revenue and profitability of the opportunity.Leads in building business cases, gaining approval for projects and developing materials for the communication of the strategic partners’ opportunity, organizational structures, key individual biographies, partner objectives, status and key next steps. This includes understanding the consumer proposition and integration resources and requirements needed for implementation.Ensures all necessary documentation has been provided for senior management’s review and accurately reflects the opportunity.Partners with the procurement department in running the RFP processes, when necessary, to identify the right partners to deliver the new channel strategy. Provides significant input into all internal documents that describes the processes, customer flows along with the roles and responsibilities for these new initiatives.Manages the internal process while gaining sign off from key internal departments. This may include educating them on the partner and service proposition.Ensures there is an understanding of the legal and compliance implications.Represents company at events, conferences and in all aspects of partnership, including assessment, due diligence, initial strategy, deal identification, and entering into discussions with potential alliance candidates.Owns the strategic management of the relationships with key strategic partners. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities within the relationship. Conducts regular reviews of live projects and performance against business case.Responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets.Requirements:Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or other related degree and/or equivalent work experience.MBA degree is preferred.15+ years of managerial experience.7+ years of experience with money remittance companies and/or e-wallets.5+ years creating products for international markets.Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.Experience in a strategic sales and business development role within a project or program management environment.Previous experience within the payment or retail financial services sector would be highly advantageous.Ability and willingness to travel frequently, more than 50% travel.
