We are a construction company and cabinet manufacturer, specializing in high end residential projects in Manhattan. Small, efficient office handles all work and coordination of staff carpenters and cabinet makers, as well as all subcontractors and vendors.
Job Description - Ideal Candidate Will Handle the below tasks:
-Receive, enter, track and pay vendor and subcontractor invoices.
-Create invoices and coordinate billing for clients, for large projects and service calls.
-Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate and balanced checking balances; enter deposits and make payments for bills.
-Create and maintain "job cards" for each project, confirming P&L and open invoices per vendor, per project.
-Enter payroll in QuickBooks and on job cards. Reconcile payroll account, and work with external payroll service to maintain data integrity.
-Assist with the preparation for insurance audits, both for General Liability and Workers' Compensation.
-Review, discuss and negotiate disputed invoices with vendors and subcontractors, both via telephone and written correspondence.
-Candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, motivated and responsible. Able to work well independently, and in a team setting.
-Knowledge of the construction industry or related industries is a plus.
