SUMMARY:Provide information to members, accept applications, process, underwrite and schedule the closing of first mortgages. Handle all the servicing aspects of portfolio and sold mortgages. Part-time schedule includes: Saturdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Advise members on mortgage products and the qualification process, rates, payments, etc. Determine applicants’ ability to qualify, estimate closing costs and cash requirements. Follow progress until the mortgage is closed. Interact extensively with member, attorney, and associated agencies.Utilize Byte, FICS and Desktop Underwriter. Maintain escrow accounts, deposits to and payments from, on computer software. Compile escrow information to prepare annual escrow analysis. Ensure tax payments are disbursed in a timely manner to the appropriate municipality.Ensure issuance of all mortgage loan satisfactions.Assist Lending Department. Field member inquires regarding credit union loan products.Generate letters to members and outside agencies.Cross sell credit union services, deposit and loan, which provide solutions to the members’ needs and improves their financial well being. Ability to work at various locations as needed.
